Question–: My parents found my thongs/lingerie…eek?
My parents are VERY religious christians. They think having a bf is bad, yet allowed me to have one recently. They went through my phone, and found dirty texts, and about how i’d gone with my bf to a hotel room, etc. They asked us very seriously if he’d been sleeping with me, we both denied.

Because of all the trouble, i stashed my lingerie/thongs/stockings in a box in my cupboard. Mum was tidying up one night, and found it. How do i know? I went looking for my stuff today, and its all gone. She has asked my bf to come over and ‘chat’ to my rents tomorrow – presumably about this.

How do we get out of it? How do i get my lingerie back (it was over 300 bucks worth!)? I can’t tell them i’ve been having sex..they will KILL me. I’m 17 btw.
Excuses i can make?

It’s your life, not theirs. It’s not as if you are a child anymore!

Tell them to stop going through your personal things, and assure them that you are using protection. Sex isn’t “dirty”, it’s a natural part of life and they should understand that.

EDIT: Don’t make any excuses, that’ll just make it worse. You’re old enough to have sex, you’re old enough to tell the truth.

have they told you how they were going to kill you? bullet, knife, stranglelation? There’s a lesson learned, don’t hide anything in your house. Mom’s have alot of time on their hands and always clean “thoroughly”. You can deny not having sex but if your texts said that ya went to a hotel then anyone can figure out what happened next, even christians. You should look for your lingeirie and take it back without them knowing. Hey atleast ya were having protected sex, atleast I assume you were. Anyone who doesn’t have protected sex is a dumb ass. The pullout technique will only work for so long

You’re probably going to have to come clean, and odds are they will be disappointed – probably more about the lying than the actual sex, though noone likes the idea of their child having sex.
If your parents are reasonable, they will probably realize that they can’t prevent you from having sex, particularly since you’ve already done it. You are 17, and you are old enough to make your own decisions in these areas. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. They can’t coddle you forever.
As long as you are being responsible about it, it’s just something everyone is going to have to learn to deal with.

They might not give back your frilly knickers, though.

do you think that your parents don’t want you to have sex because of there religion? more than likely they know that the consequences of your actions can be very detrimental for you.. They know better that you.. they have lived longer than you and they have seen and experienced more than you.. unless your parent hate you.. they probably just want the best for you and you are not smart enough, not mature enough, or simply don’t care about yourself enough to listen to them and take there advice..
