Question: Makeup Brands! Need some advice on which to buy?

I am trying to get advice on makeup brands that are mostly know for their neutral tones and arent so shimmery. Seems every makeup item these days went through the glitter factory and I really dont like it. Any recommendations?

MAC has amazing eye shadows and lip glosses. I also really like anything from urban decay!

Revlon and Almay. Both have a large selection of natural/matte items :] I HATE Urban Decay for the simple fact that every single thing is stuffed with glitter, its horrible! MAC has SOME nice matte items but their pretty expensive in the long run. Stila has a nice collection as well, but is just as expensive as MAC. NYX has some very nice items too!

Always go with MAC. You can go to any MAC store or the mall and the people there can help you choose a color that goes perfect on you. They will aply it on you so you can see how it looks and they can teach you how to apply it =0)

I understand your problem lol it’s hard to find some good mat products.

Try MAC matte ore matte^2 eyeshadows:)… and their blushes and powders

BOBBY BROWN also is a pioneer of neutral, mat shades… you should definitely check her out.

Shiseido has some great mat blushes.

Revlon launched a new MATTE collection.

Makeup Forever has nice mat sculpting powders and eyeshadows.

Almay – I use their powder base & eye liner.

Cover girl – liquid base.

Bonnebell Cappicino Lip gloss (I have really big lips, and I use this to not make them stick out as much)

As for mascara it really doesn’t matter, just make sure you get water proof, trust me if there’s on thing I’ve learned about with make up is to make sure your mascara is water proof.

I don’t usually use blush much, but when I do I use the dream moouse shade: rose.

& as for eye shadow I don’t use it, I just put eyeliner on the top lid and that’s good enough for me.

But it just depends on a lot of things, like your eye color, skin tone, ect. Like me, I’m ivory skinned (pale) with blue eyes,

But I get compliments on my make up all the time so I guess I’m doing something right

mac has a very good variety with neutral tones, but also shimmery ones so try there, urban decay is good too from what I’ve heard.

Or for a cheaper option, go to a drugstore and look at are Covergirl, Maybelline, L’Oreal,

or ones that apparently don’t test on animals are
mac, clinique, estee lauder, avon, the body shop (lots of neutral tones), revlon, clarins, barry m, urban decay, hard candy, too faced and mary kay so try out a few of those too.

I love Physician’s Formula Organic Wear. It has just a hint of shimmer and have tons of universally flattering shades. Another plus is that it’s good for the environment, good for your skin, and the packaging is recycleable.
