Question: what are the up and coming fashion trends – I hear tartan and checks are in?

do you agree and what else is just coming into fashion or will be big soon for end summer/autumn time?
Vogue says checks and tartan are in for autumn/winter but I wondered if people would buy these? I’ve seen a few girls in london wearing tartan laready but not sure about it myself..what else is going to be in fashion soon?

As far as fashion, it depends on the continent. For example, in Europe high quality lace will be a must for this cold season! That’s why I think you should visit www.style.com and look at all the designer collection. Get your inspiration and create your own trendy look!

Yes, tartans, plaids, warm cuddly fabrics, textured fabrics are all coming in for fall; but certainly we’ll be seeing plenty of plaid as it is the pattern of the moment. This is good news for people in colder climates. The past two years featured short sleeved and sleeveless tops in fall and winter and I don’t think they sold as well as stores hoped -especially because winter was long and cold, so sleeves are making a comeback. Speaking of sleeves, look for a new emphasis on the shoulder line and a continuation of sleeves being gathered and slightly puffed at the shoulders. In addition, because last year’s New York Fashion week featured purple in almost every collection, get ready for a purple revolution. Purple will be like last fall’s grey. Grey will still be around, but it will be paired with some brighter colours to liven it up. The waistline is going down, it’s not quite so high under the bust line. The big fad coming up is metallics is accessories and cosmetics. And then my crystal ball turns cloudy!
